Thunder Bay, is a major city in Canada. Centrally located at three major Canadian highways; Intersecting highways #11 and #17 and the intersection of the International highway #61 to the USA. It is also located on the northwest shore of Lake Superior, Thunder Bay is built around a harbour that is the largest inland port in Canada. With a population of 130,000, Thunder Bay is served by major airlines and bus services. Our Time Zone is Eastern Standard Time. During the summer, April to October, we switch to Daylight Savings time (summer we move the clocks 1 hour back). As you leave Thunder Bay, to the west, you change time to Central Time.
There is something for everyone in Thunder Bay.

Northern Ontario includes the bowling centers in Sudbury, Sault Ste Marie and Thunder Bay. There addresses are listed at the Bowl Address page. The major bowling center in Thunder Bay is Mario's Bowl, a 36 lane center that has 30 computerized tenpin lanes. It is also the largest center in Northern Ontario.

Nationally, I am on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Tenpin Federation (CTF) as the National Chairman for the Canadian Tenpin Federation National Youth Championships. The National Youth Committee conducts an annual tournament for the bowlers of Canada. The program starts at the league level with almost 10,000 bowlers. The provincal level then produces 8 Provincal Champions that advance to the Nationals. The 2003 Nationals will be in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. Provinces that participate include British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Northern Ontario, Southern Ontario, Quebec and New Brunswick.
Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland do not have organized tenpin as of now.
